Construction Gumnut is an industry leader of superior and innovative manufacturing techniques that improve standards generally and provide satisfying products that endure all weather conditions. When designing our product we keep in mind the following:
Gumnut have chosen to employ most liberally the superior method of mortise and tenon joining throughout their designs (as todays' machinery allows very fine adjustments between parts creating a very tight join). Together with suitable materials (durable timber, stainless steel fastenings, water resistant glue), Gumnut produce a product that more than satisfies in all of these areas.
Used without exception through-out the range are the; A.S.I.( American Iron and Steel Institute) 304 grade stainless steel fasteners,(screws, nuts, bolts and washers) for general purpose useage where resistance to corrosion is required. For flat pack purposes there were no stainless steel 'coach screws' standard 'off the shelf' available so the Gumnut designers had them made to their specifications. These included a greater proportion of thread with better 'bite'. The Fabric Used Acrylic dralon is a material so fade resistant that even over a period of 4 or 5 years there is most often no decernible difference from the original colour. It is colourfast to the degree that bleach can be used quite safely to clean it. Fade-resistant, colourfast, mould & mildew resistant, Scotchguarded, tough & hard wearing with limited stretch, not hot & sweaty to sit on. The chair slings carry a one year guarantee. |
